Please check out our website where you can find the best rates to book directly with us to stay at our lovely B&B!
We’ve had several guests who have inadvertently left their keys in their hired car. You should always take your key out of the ignition and put it in your pocket when leaving your car.
Last nights guests left their key in the car and new cars automatically lock the car for security reasons when left unattended. They had to hire a locksmith to break into the car which took over 4 hours of waiting time and a €100 charge. Don’t let this happen to you! Take your car keys and lock your car every time you walk away from your vehicle!
We’re back! Did you miss us? We hope so!
After nearly a month of fighting with our server host in which we couldn’t gain access to our blog we have returned! The best thing of all is that it wasn’t our fault! All is back to normal and we will continue to update our blog in a timely manner.
Meanwhile, what you’ve missed is that we had a record month for January, hurricane force winds this past week, and much needed time off with family and friends!
Winter has come early to Glocca Morra B&B! Can’t remember when we’ve had snow on the mountaintops so early in the year. These Northerly winds are very atypical and we’re missing the Gulf Stream winds we usually have until at least December! The days are shorter, the winds are stronger, the nights are colder, but there is always warmth at the B&B!
We received a phone call this evening from a local restaurant we frequent asking if we had rooms available for 3 lovely women. By chance we did and they booked with us!
Keeping contact with local vendors always helps your business! Also, you should reciprocate by sending them business as we always do. It’s just good business sense in a local community.
We’re coming into the Autumn and Winter months in which the days get shorter. It’s best to view our beautiful country during the daylight hours, but you should also experience our nighttime culture! A pub experience is one of the best places to meet the true Irish, but you must be willing to meet them on their terms which is after 10pm! You’ll have an experience of a lifetime that you’ll never forget! As we say: “You’ll have good Craic!”
